The Piano Studio, Cardiff, offers piano lessons in a warm, friendly and fun environment for both the young and young at heart. I run the studio from my home. I have enabled students to achieve a 100% pass rate in the Associated Board Royal School of Music Examinations, grades one to eight.

I believe that music is for everyone and that it’s never too late or too early to start learning.  My lessons include a wide range of music from classical and romantic to rock and pop.  I embrace teaching all styles and at all levels – from Bach to The Beatles - providing you with techniques to achieve any style of piano you wish.

For children wishing to learn about piano and music, my lessons are fun and engaging, encompassing note recognition and rhythm, through friendly and entertaining repetition.  I also ensure that younger pupils gain a full appreciation of the history of music, music in the world today and how to achieve a deep sense of musicality themselves.  The studio welcomes both those who purely desire to play for fun and enjoyment, as well as those who wish to sit exams.

I teach grades 1-8 and the first two diplomas. ARSM and DipABRSM.

I am dedicated to helping pupils excel, though I also understand how important it is that the piano studio remains family friendly.  I am more than happy for parents to stay during lessons and discuss their children’s progress.

My music school also offers opportunities for more mature students to rediscover their love of playing. Many adults find piano playing both relaxing and therapeutic and their better co-ordination skills can often be a real advantage to their learning.

I can help pupils through Key Stage 3 & 4, with separate Aural Lessons and Music Theory Lessons to gain Associated Board Royal School of Music (ABRSM) qualifications.  I can also help students prepare for GCSE, 'AS' and 'A' Level with my special love of composition and harmony.

For those who are interested I also organise pupil concerts, which family and friends always enjoy.
